Fresh as snow

This sake’s minimalist white bottle represents the unique snow-chilling method used in its brewing. This “Yukimuro” is aged for three years in an insulated room next to huge mounds of frigid, mountain snow. This traditional, environmentally friendly technique adds a smoother, rounder feeling to the already creamy flavor, which is sweetened by hints of pear. Feel the snowy freshness of the slopes anytime with a few sips of “Yukimuro.”

Savory snacks are a classic pairing with genshu (undiluted sake). For sake ware, we recommend simple designs that present the pure quality of sake.

Hakkaisan Brewery Company

Hakkaisan Brewery Company was founded in 1922 in the foothills of Mount Hakkai, in an area with snow accumulating over 10 feet at times. Absolutely exceptional. The Hakkaisan “Yukimuro” is incredibly smooth with a beautifully balanced flavor—subtle umami, gentle sweetness, and a clean, elegant finish. You can really taste the craftsmanship that comes from aging it in a snow-cooled cellar for three years. A must-try for sake lovers!

Super light and honestly taste like cream and fruit. Almost like you can taste the snow ❄️. Has become my new favorite to give as gifts especially to people who are normally not sake drinkers

Aromas of sweet white fruit. Floral as it warms. Flavour is semi sweet, bright, and clean. Medium bodied with a long creamy finish. While delicious I believe this to be way overpriced. I love Hakkaisan but there are better more complex and interesting sake out there.
